As a Water Operations Engineer at Last Mile working under the UKPS brand, your responsibilities include ensuring that all work instructions submitted by Project Managers/Site Managers and communications are consistent and clear. Carrying out an overview of WIRS Teams and accredited sub-contractors.

Your responsibilities as a Water Operations Engineer:

  • Assist with the training and knowledge of Project/Site Managers with regards construction of water mains and services
  • To prepare programmes of work where necessary. Give advice on material/plant requirements.
  • To assist in the evaluation and selection of WIRS accredited sub-contractors where appropriate.
  • To work with the WIRS TA and MU Supervisor to ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the specification and operational procedures
  • To ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with appropriate technical, health and safety, quality and environment procedures
  • To co-ordinate and carry out Safety and Technical audits as required and in accordance with UK Power Solutions technical audit procedure

About you:

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Experience of co-ordination of utility site works – Water
  • 3 years’ experience in a WIRS environment or similar (desirable)

Qualifications:

  •  Registered with EUSR SHEA (Water)
  • Registered with EUSR Water Hygiene Card
  • SCP Senior Competent Person for SCMC work
  • NRSWA Supervisor card
