As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering new electricity, water and gas connection projects. Reporting directly to the Regional Construction Manager, you’ll take ownership of project delivery while helping to mentor and support Project Managers across the team.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Project Manager:

  • Lead the delivery of electricity, water and gas connection projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and within budget.
  • Manage internal teams and contractors across cable installation, jointing, switchgear installation and associated site activities.
  • Champion high standards of safety, health, environmental awareness and quality throughout every stage of the project.
  • Prepare key project documentation, including work instructions, risk assessments and method statements, while coordinating materials and monthly reporting.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, internal Last Mile teams, DNOs and iDNOs to support smooth project delivery and final connections, while mentoring Project Managers and Trainee Project Managers.

Experience / Knowledge:

  • 5 years’ experience in Electrical Project Management 
  • Experienced in managing internal and external labour for cable installation, jointing and switchgear installation
  • Previous experience of power distribution networks advantageous

Qualifications

  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering e.g. C&G, ONC, HNC & Degree (equivalent Engineering qualifications may be considered)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • SMSTS, ECS/CSCS, First Aid, Manual handling
