As a Quantity Surveyor at Energetics, you will play a key role in managing the commercial process and performance for assigned regions. You’ll also support various commercial activities within the business, providing valuable insights and advice to colleagues.

Your main responsibilities as a Quantity Surveyor at Energetics:
- Work closely with the operations team to undertake Month-End P&L Reviews, analysing job performance against margin expectations and addressing discrepancies.
- Provide mentorship and support to Assistant/Trainee Quantity Surveyors, aiding in their professional development.
- Oversee contract performance management, ensuring budget control and compliance using in-house software.
- Manage the subcontractor lifecycle, including onboarding, tender processes, rate negotiations, measurement, contract compliance and payments.
- Lead the variations and change control process, ensuring accurate documentation control, pricing and cost management.
- Negotiating variations with customers to gain acceptances and following through to aid credit control ensuring payments are made.
- Offer commercial insights and risk analysis, providing sound advice on costs, contracts, and potential risks to support informed decision-making.
- Support our design and estimating teams by providing support where needed in obtaining pricing from suppliers or subcontractors for non-standard works.
Experience / Knowledge:
- High experience using Microsoft packages is essential for this position.
- Ideally experience of using or an understanding of software packages such as Coins/Mentor/SimPRO/MS Dynamics.
- Experience with understanding/administering Construction Contracts such as NEC, JCT, FIDIC, iChemE or even bespoke contracts.
- Experience in Utilities or Framework/Term Maintenance type roles is desirable but not essential
