Our Sales team is growing, and we're excited to welcome a talented Senior Business Development Manager – EVCP to join us.
As a Senior Business Development Manager - EVCP, you will play a key role in driving growth by identifying, developing, and converting new pipeline opportunities. You will focus on securing assets for the business to design, build, own, and operate within agreed commercial parameters. Alongside this, you will provide clear and supportive line management to a Sales Coordinator, helping them develop and perform confidently within the team. A central part of the role is ensuring an outstanding customer experience, achieved through open communication, reliable delivery, value creation, and the smooth progression of projects from initial enquiry to successful completion.
We’re looking for the successful candidate to be based at one of our offices in Stonehouse (Gloucestershire), London, Warrington or Hamilton (Glasgow).
Your responsibilities as a Senior Business Development Manager - EVCP:
- Lead and Support Sales Coordination - Line manage a Sales Coordinator by providing ongoing coaching, guidance, and operational support, while overseeing all people‑management activities, including leave, expenses, sickness absence, and wellbeing.
- Generate New Business Opportunities - Proactively identify, develop, and qualify pipeline opportunities with both new and existing clients, using internal systems to track activity and convert interest into formal enquiries or quotation requests.
- Build and Manage Client Relationships - Develop and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships through proactive communication, ensuring clients feel supported throughout the engagement and fully understand each stage of the process.
- Coordinate Enquiries and Quotation Processes - Validate formal enquiries, prepare high‑level budget quotations for feasibility studies, and create project references in simPRO. Provide complete instruction to Technical Coordinator and Designers to produce required designs, BOQs, FS1s, and letters of offer.
- Issue, Review, and Negotiate Proposals - Issue formal quotations and letters of offer, follow up within 48 hours, and lead discussions to review proposals, clarify details, and negotiate terms. Coordinate requotes with design and estimating teams, including LMAM involvement where needed, and manage revisions through to client agreement.
- Manage Contract Acceptance and Project Handover - Acknowledge signed contracts, communicate next steps to clients, and distribute acceptance updates to internal stakeholders. Arrange and lead Winners Meetings within 48 hours, ensuring all teams are briefed, and complete a thorough handover to Design Approval and Operations to initiate project delivery.
Experience:
- Experience in a similar B2B role ideally with a tracked record of working on Commercial & Fleet EVCP solutions
- Experienced at successfully managing a portfolio of customers with full account management
- Evidence of previous sales positions and targets achieved.
- Experience within EVCP
- ICP/IDNO experience or sales experience into the EVCP sector
