As our EHV Programme Manager, you will be the single point of contact for our EHV customers, from acceptance of offer through to energisation, adoption, asset value payment continuing to the handover to operations. Your portfolio will focus on complex EHV connections, including BESS, data centres and large-scale industrial and commercial developments and will coordinate internal teams, the host DNO, ICPs and the customer's own contractors, and assure the quality of third-party ICP works, so that milestones are met and the network is adopted safely and on time.
It is essential for you to have strong programme management capabilities while utilising an excellent customer facing background to develop, document and continuously improve processes and procedures for the EV connection journey to ensure the smooth running of around 4-6 concurrent projects.
What’s in it for you as an EHV Programme Manager?

*Some of our benefits are only applicable when you have successfully completed your probation period*
Your responsibilities as an EHV Programme Manager:
- Take a formal handover from the bid and sales team at acceptance of offer, including a register of every commitment made to the customer at tender (programme, service levels, technical and commercial undertakings), and deliver against it.
- Feed delivery experience back to the bid team so that future tender commitments are realistic and deliverable
- Build and maintain an integrated programme for each project, tracking milestones, dependencies and risks across the IDNO, host DNO, ICP and customer.
- Keep customers informed of relevant legal, regulatory and industry updates (for example Ofgem connections reform, ENA guidance and Engineering Recommendations) and how they affect their project.
- Before works start, confirm each ICP's accreditation, competence and resourcing for the scope, including NERS accreditation for the relevant EHV activities.
- Agree an inspection and test plan with each ICP, setting hold and witness points aligned to the Last Mile design approval process and adoption conditions.
- Monitor construction quality and compliance with G81 and LMI's adoption standards throughout the build, not just at final inspection.
- Manage the pre-energisation checklist, confirming all technical, contractual and safety requirements are met.
- Ensure safe interfaces at energisation, working with LMI's operations team within the Distribution Safety Rules and CDM requirements
Essential Experience / Knowledge:
- Proven experience managing the IDNO adoption process end to end, from design approval to asset transfer and asset value payment.
- Track record of delivering EHV connections (33kV and above), particularly BESS, data centres and large-scale industrial and commercial developments.
- Working knowledge of Bilateral Connection Agreements, customer Connection Agreements and the MPAN/MSID registration process.
- Understanding of the GB electricity industry framework, including the roles of DNOs, IDNOs, ICPs and suppliers, and relevant codes such as the DCUSA and Distribution Code.
- Familiarity with design approval, inspection and witnessing, as-built and pre-energisation requirements for adoptable networks.
