Job Introduction
Land Rights Coordinator
Join a leading utilities company that champions innovation and service excellence. At Last Mile, we take pride in delivering high-quality solutions across the multi-utility sector. Our team is growing, and we're excited to welcome a talented Land Rights Coordinator to join us.
As a Land Rights Coordinator, you will support and coordinate all land rights requirements on behalf of the DNO and Last Mile across all utility projects, working closely with every stakeholder, including the client. You will initiate the land rights process and guide it through to successful completion, ensuring all parties meet their obligations and every requirement is fully satisfied.
We’re looking for the successful candidate to be based at one of our offices, in Stonehouse (Gloucestershire), London, Warrington or Hamilton (Glasgow).
Your responsibilities as a Land Rights Coordinator:
- Land Rights Initiation and Early Coordination
Initiate the land rights process once a project is accepted, working with the Designer to ensure smooth progression. Contact clients and their solicitors to confirm instructions, establish communication channels and outline next steps, while notifying Last Mile and the appointed external solicitor of potential land rights requirements. - Documentation, Verification and Stakeholder Engagement
Support the early collection of essential land rights documentation, including title deeds, drawings, searches and supporting records. Carry out Land Registry checks where required and engage with all relevant stakeholders to progress land rights activities once design approval has been confirmed. - Ongoing Communication and Stakeholder Management
Act as the central point of contact for all land rights activity, coordinating communication between internal teams, the DNO land rights team, external solicitors and clients. Provide regular progress updates, facilitate calls and meetings, and ensure all stakeholders remain aligned throughout the process. - Design Change Assessment and Impact Coordination
Review design changes that generate Design Variation Orders to determine any impact on land rights requirements. Communicate implications clearly to Last Mile, external solicitors, DNO teams and internal Operations colleagues, ensuring all parties are informed and coordinated. - Completion, Notification and Record Keeping
