About the opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Permanent Digital Communications Advisor to join our growing Communications and Engagement department at our Stonehouse Office.

 

As a Communications Advisor you will help establish a new internal communications strategy at Last Mile Group by helping to build, launch and maintain a new suite of digital internal communication channels. We are looking for a technologically minded communications professional who has strong communication skills and experience implementing and working with Office 365 platforms.

Your responsibilities:

 

 

  • Be the main point of contact for all digital internal communication solutions, working closely with the IT function.

 

  • Support the Head of Communications and Engagement in shaping the internal communications strategy, using insight to advise on digital channels usage, audience needs and content.

 

  • Support the implementation of a new SharePoint intranet site, helping to define project scope, select suppliers and work with internal stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.

 

  • Manage the SharePoint intranet site on a daily basis, keeping the homepage fresh, updating the news, responding to / moderating comments and being the point of contact for other content owners.

 

  • Support the implementation of a new email platform, helping to select a third-party solution and working with the supplier to ensure the tool is fit for purpose.

 

  • Create and send a regular email newsletter. This involves working with the Head of Communications and Engagement to agree objectives and themes, as well as writing and editing stories, sourcing photography, handling any sign offs, sending the newsletter, and proactively measuring response.

 

  • Ensure alignment of content and messaging across our full suite of digital channels, plus team briefings and face to face events.

 

  • Help to align messaging across the Group by administering a central communications hub and liaising with an internal network of communicators.

 

  • Possible support for our external website.

 

Experience / Knowledge:

  •  
  • Implementing a new or developing an existing Sharepoint site.
  • Working with / administering Office 365 platforms (SharePoint, Yammer, Teams etc)
  • Working in any communications role or team, creating content, understanding audience needs and liaising with internal stakeholders.

 

Desirable:

  • Managing websites
  • Measuring the effectiveness of communication
  • Using an email marketing tool

 

  •  
  • Desirable related degree e.g. IT/digital, media or communications.
