About the opportunity:

 

We are currently looking for a permanent Water Operative to join our growing Operations department in Scotland region (central belt).

 

As a Water Assistant you will be required to work alongside your Team Leader in a safe and efficient manner to complete scheduled works that consists of pressure testing, sampling and tieing in connection of mains  in accordance with WIRS and water for Scotland. Follow all rules and codes of practice and be accountable for the health and safety of yourself and others when on and off site.

Your responsibilities:

  • Report near misses when on and off site
  • Keep work areas tidy and clear of debris
  • Follow Team Leaders instructions and guidance
  • Work safely and follow risk assessments and method statements.
  • Work with heavy machinery and plant.

 

Experience / Knowledge:

Essential:

  • Previous experience pressure testing, chlorination and connections on water mains

Desirbale:

  • Understanding of utility/ construction sector
  • NRSWA qualifications

​Qualifications: 

  • DOMS 1-13
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Shea Water

Desirable:

  • NCO1 Water
