As an Intermediate Water Design Engineer at Last Mile under the UKPS brand, you’ll be responsible for designing water networks for residential and commercial developments, focusing on straightforward, effective solutions.

Your responsibilities as an Intermediate Water Design Engineer:

  • Fully understand client requirements and offer experience/guidance to suit
  • To carry out simple water designs in accordance with WIRS requirements
  • Produce effective design drawings for all aspects of the project
  • Design water mains and service connections in accordance with Water UK Water Sector Guidance including the adopting Water Company’s Design and Construction Specification
  • Make site visits, where required, to ascertain detailed information related to the design and planning of a project
  • Manage own portfolio of design work, on time and within budget
  • Fully understand water company offers and check this meets with expectation

 

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Minimum 2 years previous experience of designing water networks
  • AutoCAD
  • Understanding of the Self-Lay/NAV new connections market
  • Awareness of engineering codes, regulations, standards and specifications
  • Water Network Modelling Software (WaterGEMS or similar) - desirable


 Qualifications (desirable):
 

  • Level 3 Engineering qualification
