About the opportunity:

We are currently looking for a permanent Transactional Finance Manager to join our growing Finance department at our Hamilton Office.

 

As a Transactional Finance Manager you will have the ultimate responsibility for the performance of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Functions.

Your responsibilities:

 

•          Overseeing the purchase ledger and sales ledger function

•             Reviewing sales ledger/supplier reconciliations.

•             Supporting the sales and purchase ledger functions during holidays/sickness.

•             Leading and developing the transactional team.

•             Preparing balance sheet reconciliations.

•             Preparing monthly overheads schedule and posting required accruals/prepayments.

•             Defining and monitoring key KPI’s including debtor days, overdue debt %, bad debt write-off. Debtor ageing, creditor ageing, unreconciled differences.

•             Meeting month end deadlines to allow timely review of the month end results by the Financial Controller

•             Reviewing finance and business processes and identifying risk areas adding appropriate controls to mitigate risk.

•             Working with external auditors to ensure a clean and tidy audit report.

•             Providing Support to Associate Director of Finance and Financial Controller on an ad hoc basis.

 

Experience / Knowledge:

Ability to lead a team, previous management experience would be preferred.

Excellent problem solver, numerate, inquisitive, and comfortable with the use of ambiguous data.  

High level of numeracy.

Strong communication skills and ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.

Ability to actively manage your own diary and prioritise tasks as required.

High level of technical industry knowledge

Highly competent in report building.

Advanced Excel skills

 

Qualifications: Qualified (ACCA, CA, CIMA or equivalent)
