As a Technical Training Manager at Last Mile, you will shape and lead the management of technical training and competency assessment across Last Mile. Working closely with key stakeholders the role will ensure the compliance of our workforce and provide pathways for people to enter the business and progress through Last Mile.

Your responsibilities as a Technical Training Manager: 

  • Work with key stakeholders across Last Mile to design and deliver a technical training strategy aligned to business requirements
  • Lead the technical training team, driving individual performance and supporting continual development   
  • Support the delivery and management of the competency assessment process across Last Mile, ensuring compliance across the Group
  • Manage the Armed Forces Covenant on behalf of Last Mile and support the transition and development of individuals into the workforce 
  • Work with the Early Talent team to create development programmes to onboard and develop new entrants into our talent pools
  • Manage the induction process to ensure the effective onboarding and induction of new starters including the core mandatory training 

About you:

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Previous experience of learning and development within the utilities sector
  • Experience supporting, guiding, and developing people
  • Managing training and competency assessments
  • Design and delivery of training courses
  • Previous experience working across a group of companies (desirable)
  • Previous line management experience (desirable)
  • Experience managing training centres (desirable)

Qualifications:

  •  Learning & Development related qualification (desirable)
