About the opportunity:

We are currently looking for a permanent Talent Acquisition Manager to join our growing HR department at our Stonehouse (Gloucestershire) or Hamilton Office. 

 

The main purpose of the Talent Acquisition Manager role is to provide an effective recruitment partnering service to Last Mile and all its subsidiary companies and support the Head of HR and Director, People & Culture with the development and implementation of the recruitment agenda.

 

This role will lead the recruitment function, building the recruitment strategy, and working closely with the leadership team and hiring managers to understand and support with hiring needs and challenges.

Your responsibilities:

 Strategic Focus

  • Design and implementation of recruitment strategy
  • Management of recruitment budget
  • Control of agency PSL and terms of business
  • Continuous review of advertising platforms to ensure best return on investment

Systems and Reporting

  • Be a subject matter expert for the applicant tracking system, ensuring best utilisation of functionality
  • Report on key recruitment statistics, identifying areas for improvement
  • Identify and support with best practice headhunting methods 

Business Partnering

  • Support the leadership team and hiring managers with recruitment needs, in addition to direct involvement with recruitment of senior appointments
  • Delivery of recruitment workshops for hiring managers
  • Manage the Talent Acquisition Advisors to develop skills and knowledge, and drive excellence of standards and performance
  • Support with refinement of the interview process, ensuring consistency and best practice is followed for all roles

Continuous Improvement

  • Work with wider Group HR team to continuously improve our service to the group and to our employees
  • Stay current on industry best practices, including new and innovative talent acquisition strategies and initiatives

Any other duties commensurate with the level of the role.

 

 

Experience / Knowledge:

 

Previous experience in a Talent Acquisition Manager, Recruitment Manager or headhunting role

Previous experience within an SME environment

Experience working with Director or Associate Director level stakeholders

Ability to advise, influence and challenge up to Director level

Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Hands-on approach and ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment

Emphasis on continuous improvement

High levels of integrity and confidentiality

 

Desirable:

Experience in the Construction or Engineering industry

Experience working across a group of companies

People management experience

 

 

Qualifications

CertRP or CertIHR is desirable
