As a Site Manager working for UKPS (part of Last Mile), you will report directly to the Regional Operations Manager and play a pivotal role within the Operations team. You will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects within your region, managing the day-to-day operations of the multi-utility workforce to ensure efficiency and compliance at all levels.
Leading a team of site-based Craft teams, you will deliver a programme of work, maintaining the highest standards in network construction while driving continuous improvements and efficiencies.

Your responsibilities as a Site Manager (Multi-Utility):
- Manage the Multi-Utility (Gas/Water) teams to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of scheduled works and site supervision of operatives and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with safety.
- Conduct monthly audits on operational teams to ensure high standards of work and equipment maintenance – conducting remedial action where required and closing out any corrective action in a timely manner.
- They will ensure that the upcoming programme of work is adequately resourced, sites are pre-vetted, and materials are ordered and managed in line with requirements.
- Check content of work instructions to ensure works are viable and ensure correct materials will be available.
- Be the initial point of contact to craft teams for technical, material, and administrative matters.
- Support the scheduling team by reviewing the programme in advance and providing feedback to ensure teams are deployed in the most effective way
Experience / Knowledge:
- Previous experience of water/gas distribution networks.
- Experienced in managing multiple projects/teams across different locations.
- Experienced in dealing with internal and external site-based workforce.
- Ability to apply Company design/planning procedures and requirements.
- Organised, methodical approach to work with excellent time management skills
- Be pragmatic and able to find solutions
- Be committed to safety and compliance.
