About the opportunity:

We are currently looking for a permanent Regulatory Change Advisor to join our growing Legal department at our Hamilton Office (remote will be consider for the right candidate)

As a Regulatory Change Advisor, you will keep abreast of regulatory change affecting our licensed businesses and shape such change to protect and promote the interests of the Last Mile Group. The role will include developing strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure Last Mile’s position is formulated and conveyed in a succinct manner whilst increasing the presence of Last Mile at industry fora.

Your responsibilities:

•             Liaising with internal stakeholders to gather feedback on regulatory change to develop a Last Mile position and to promote opportunities for beneficial change.

•             Participate in industry groups such as the INA and Code work groups relating to industry change to protect and promote the interests of LMAM, reflecting the views of the business.

•             Monitor the regulatory landscape and maintain the Regulatory Change Log.

•             Oversee submission of monthly / quarterly reports to industry governing bodies including management of LMAM regulatory reporting calendar.

•             Support the Head of Risk and Assurance with the review and response to strategic industry consultations.

•             Working with colleagues to support them in understanding both current and forthcoming regulatory requirements. 

Experience / Knowledge:

A high degree of communication and problem-solving capability.

Proven analytical and reasoning skills.

High standard of written and spoken communication

Ability to understand and analyse complex information.

The appointee to the post of Regulatory Change Analyst may either be:

•             from a change management role within a utility or similar sector

Qualification:

Essential:

Educated to NVQ Level 4.

Experience of working with and managing change.

Degree in related discipline.

Experience of working in Utilities with an outward facing role
