Regional Manager (Utility Infrastructure) – Bristol (South-West Region)

Our South-West/Wales Construction Team is growing, and we're excited to welcome a talented Regional Manager (Utility Infrastructure) to join us.
As a Regional Manager (Utility Infrastructure) at UKPS, you’ll bring your HV/LV electrical expertise, and/or experience in other utilities, alongside your leadership and management skills to guide a team of skilled Project Managers. Together, you’ll deliver multi-utility projects to the highest standards, ensuring exceptional results and exceeding customer expectations.

Your responsibilities as a Regional Manager (Utility Infrastructure):
- Reporting directly to the Head of Construction to implement company directives while establishing a strong health and safety at work message.
- Manage a regionally based team of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers to ensure the timely, quality and cost-effective delivery of the Project Manager’s portfolio of projects and co-ordinating install activities with our Operational support teams.
- Develop and maintain a strong Project Manager team ethic ensuring consistency of approach and sharing of ideas.
- Ensure the Project Manager team are clearly and regularly communicating with customers and internal/external stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Senior Management team across the business to share feedback and help with the continuous improvement of UKPS policies and procedures.
- Working with the HR Team take responsibility for the day-to-day HR requirements of your team.
- Attend customer meetings to support the Project Manager and provide the customer high level feedback where requested.
Experience / Knowledge:
- Previous management experience in a utility-based discipline that includes advising and supporting a strong Project Management team and basic HV/LV/Gas/Water knowledge to interact with our technical support departments on decision making.
- Previous track record of managing and delivering on multiple projects and the related financial performance
Qualifications
- Managing Health and Safety qualification e.g. SMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH
- HNC e.g. In an Engineering discipline, ideally Electrical & Electronic engineering
- Business leadership/management qualification
