About the opportunity:
We're thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Project Manager (EVC) to become an integral part of our growing Construction department, overseeing projects nationwide.
As a Project Manager, you'll spearhead the successful delivery of cutting-edge Electric Vehicle (EV) Infrastructure projects. This includes managing the intricate aspects of High/Low Voltage Points of Connection, Sub-Station builds, and EV charge points, encompassing both electrical and data wiring. You will also be managing both in-house craft teams and Sub-Contractors, ensuring smooth collaboration for the successful execution of projects.

Your responsibilities:
- Manage and take full responsibility for projects from design approval to delivery.
- Ensure projects are delivered to an achievable customer approved programme.
- Liaise closely with the customer using clear and regular communication on programme, project risks, SHEQ and financial matters.
- Take financial and commercial responsibility for the project, managing invoicing and variations in a timely manner and highlighting any financial/commercial risks at the earliest opportunity.
- Attend monthly one to one project reviews with your assigned QS and line manager.
- Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Plan, put to work and supervise internal and subcontract craft teams to complete the installation electrical/data cabling, EVC chargers and associated panels/cabinets, and substations.
- Using the internal UKPS civil team, plan and oversee the installation of offsite excavation, cable installation and reinstatement as required by the approved design and agreed programme.
- Carry out Principal Contractor duties, including CDM site setup, and the production of Risk assessments, method statements, CPH&SP, O&M files etc.
- Complete site audit’s as per UKPS policies and procedures.

About you
Experience / Knowledge:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing a portfolio of Utility/EV construction projects across different locations.
- Experienced in managing internal site-based workforce and Subcontractors.
- Experience in the delivery of EV installation projects.
Qualifications:
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering e.g. C&G, ONC, HNC & Degree (equivalent Engineering qualifications may be considered).

- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects across different locations.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
