As a Laterals Operative (Electrical Improver), you’ll install new utility connections in multi-occupancy dwellings.

Your responsibilities as a Laterals Operative (Electrical Improver):
- Install and terminate 35mm LSOH service cables and connections to cut-outs and multi-service distribution boards within multi-occupancy dwellings.
- Work safely with LSOH cables ranging from 35mm to 300mm, completing testing throughout each installation.
- Accurately complete and maintain all installation certificates, records and associated data.
- Collaborate with craft teams, Project Managers and Supervisors to identify and resolve on-site issues.
- Deliver consistently high-quality workmanship in line with Last Mile and DNO specifications, while promoting and following all health, safety and quality procedures.
Experience / Knowledge:
- Hold a valid UK driving licence and be aged 21 or over due to insurance requirements.
- Be physically capable of frequent manual handling and outdoor work when required.
- Have previous on-site experience installing and terminating cables.
- Have completed manual handling training and possess practical manual handling experience.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of BS 7671 and the Electricity at Work Regulations, together with a basic understanding of Building Regulations.
