About the opportunity:
We are currently looking for a permanent Early Careers Advisor to join our growing Learning and Development department at our Hamilton or Stonehouse Office.
As an Early Careers Advisor, you will support the delivery of the early careers / emerging talent strategy across Last Mile. Working closely with the Early Talent Manager and wider Learning & Development Team the role will ensure the delivery of a best-in-class end-to-end experience for our early talent population.

Your responsibilities:
- Support the Early Talent Manager to implement the Early Talent strategy across Last Mile
- Continually review the early talent cycle and experience to identify recommendations and implement improvements.
- Be the first point of contact for early talent for career support, providing a combination of advice, guidance, coaching, and signposting to further resources as appropriate.
- Provide line managers with ongoing support and guidance to effectively manage and develop their talent.
- Effectively manage the recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new starters in the early talent population
- Ensure the effective delivery of training courses, events and performance reviews as part of the structured programmes.
- Help maximise the utilisation of the apprenticeship levy and implement processes to identify and manage strategic partners.
- Organise, attend, and facilitate early talent attraction events including school events, careers fairs and assessment days.
- Support the Head of L&D and Early Talent Manager to undertake talent reviews in the early talent populations.
- Work closely with the wider Learning and Development team to design and deliver targeted entry level development programmes and pathways.
- Manage reporting for early talent, helping the demonstrate the return on investment of our programmes.
- Manage the effective delivery of key projects on behalf of learning and development.
- Represent Last Mile at networking and industry events to promote the business and our early talent programmes.
Experience / Knowledge:
Experience managing structured development programmes
Experience working with early careers populations
Desirable:
Prior experience of managing funding and funded programmes
Previous experience of learning and development within the utilities sector or similar
Learning & Development Qualification, preferrable CIPD
Attributes:
Excellent communication skills
Organised and structured approach to work
Forward thinking and innovative
Strong IT skills, particularly MS Office
A sound understanding of the apprenticeship levy
