Finance Assistant – Hamilton, Glasgow

As a Finance Assistant, you will report to the Head of Billing and Non-Contestable Cost Management and play an important role in managing the billing elements of each project effectively.

Your responsibilities as a Finance Assistant:

• Prepare, validate and submit customer invoices, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
• Monitor and update project invoice control sheets, keeping billing records accurate and well maintained.
• Work with project teams to resolve invoice queries and billing discrepancies promptly and professionally.
• Support accurate, compliant financial processes in line with company policies and industry standards.
• Assist the Head of Billing and Non-Contestable Cost Management with ad hoc financial tasks and improvements to billing processes.

Experience / Knowledge:

• Experience of working in a Finance role 
• IT Literate with use of Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial controls
