As an Estimating Manager at Last Mile, operating under the UKPS brand, you will take on the sole responsibility for managing and developing the Stonehouse estimating function. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the efficient delivery of outline designs, proposals, and estimates that meet both customer expectations and business needs.

Your responsibilities as a Estimating Manager:

  • Ensuring a high level of knowledge of all activities across the estimating team and manage resources to ensure deadlines are being met and customer requirements are being fulfilled.
  • Responsible for working with the company designers and sub-contractors to deliver high quality projects ensuring they are adhering to and upholding client policies, procedures and standards within Quality and Health and Safety.
  • Drive the engagement within the estimating team of the internal quality policy and quality systems; ensure a continuous improvement attitude is embedded within the team.
  • Ensure the internal Health and Safety systems appropriate to the operational areas for which you are responsible are being adhered to. Develop the team’s knowledge and expertise in construction Health and safety.
  • Management of other third-party resource / suppliers to provide services and products necessary to complete the supply and installation of projects e.g. ground workers, structural engineers, subcontract drawing resource etc.


Experience / Knowledge:

  • Construction/Utility connections industry experience; minimum 5 years in a Senior Estimating position
  • Construction contracts experience (primarily JCT but NEC also)
  • Experience of leading and managing a team
