About the opportunity:

We're on the lookout for a permanent Qualified Supervisor – EV Charging to become a valuable addition to our growing Resources department. Join our newly formed EV Charging team dedicated to servicing the either the Midlands or North of London region.

In the role of NICEIC Electric Vehicle Charging Supervisor, you'll take charge of coordinating and supporting the installation of cutting-edge EV Charging points downstream (from the substation) for car charging forecourts.

Additionally, your expertise may be tapped to lend a hand in supporting our various teams, including taking the lead on LV Installations (Laterals) when the need arises. Your skills will play a key role in our diverse and collaborative work environment.

Your responsibilities:

  • NICEIC Qualified Supervisor 
  • Oversee and assist with the installation, testing and commissioning of charging forecourts and LV Installation works (laterals).
  • Supervise any electricians or LV operatives working on the site.
  • Liaise with Project Managers to ensure materials and resources are available.
  • Provide timely feedback to the PM regarding site progress.
  • Identify and communicate any threats to timely completion of projects.
  • Promote and demonstrate a culture of Health, Safety & Quality at all times and adhere to all UKPS safety procedures
  • Ensure all works are carried out to UK Power Solutions Ltd / DNO specifications

About you

Experience / Knowledge:

  • EV charging forecourt installation experience 
  • At least 2 years responsibility for electrical work 
  • NICEIC audit experience 
  • Supervision of a working party
  • LV Installations (laterals/Multi Service Distribution Board’s)
  • Small Power and Lighting boards, Mains terminations

Qualifications:

  • Eligible for NICEIC Qualified Supervisor 
  • SHEA Power
  • SSSTS 

Attributes: 

  • High level of workmanship
  • Excellent attention to detail on all aspects of work
  • IT literate – able to use MS Office programmes including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read and understand design drawings.
  • Physically able to carry out manual handling duties associated with the role.
  • Must be able to drive in the UK and be over the age of 21 (due to insurance restrictions)
