Our dedicated Construction team is expanding, and we're excited to welcome a talented Civils Supervisor to our join us to cover the Cambridgeshire region.

As a Civils Supervisor at Last Mile working under the UKPS brand, you will oversee projects, ensuring compliance with NERS and UKPS guidelines.

The first 6 months involve a comprehensive learning period, collaborating closely with the Civils Field Manager, fellow supervisors, and the Streetworks Team. Responsibilities include on-site project management, occasional visits to our Kimbolton office, and working with the Streetworks Team and Project Managers to secure permits and ensure stringent health and safety protocols.

Your responsibilities as a Civils Supervisor:

  • Issue progress reports as required to the Civils Field Manager. 
  • Ensure works not included in proposal are covered by the variation process and the Project Manager and Civils Field Manager are informed.  
  • Issue work instructions to staff and contractors, and ensure that they are fully understood and followed; containing the relevant documents as per UKPS and NERS/GIRS requirements.  
  • Ensure the accurate recording of closing measurements and as-laid details in line with IDNO/DNO procedures.   
  • Identify and inform the Company of commercial opportunities or threats as appropriate.   
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is saved in the relevant project folder within a timely matter

 

Experience / Knowledge:

  •  Civils Experience preferably around Electric or Gas and sound knowledge of SROH/HAUC Processes 
  • Quality Management training / experience (Desirable)
  • Previous experience in an electrical and Gas discipline (Desirable)
  • Industry site / project management experience (Desirable)

Qualifications:

  • SMSTS/SSSTS Accredited 
  • NRSWA Supervisor 
  • Driving licence including category B 
  • NEBOSH Diploma (Desirable)
  • Technical Member of IOSH (Desirable)
  • EUSR Accredited (Desirable)
