Do you have strong Electricity Distribution Systems knowledge? Are you looking to progress your CAD career? If so, this CAD Technician could be the one for you!
UK Power Solutions has an exciting opportunity as a CAD Technician to join the team! You will prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD 2D associated with the construction and installation of New Electricity Contestable Connections up to and including 33/66kV.
Role Responsibilities
- Preparation/production/amendment of drawings throughout project lifecycle in line with UK Power Solutions CAD standards
- Coordination with other CAD technicians in the production of drawings
- Ability to understand and apply design engineers’ instruction within the remit of individual projects
- Willing, keen and able to develop expertise in the role
- Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with UK Power Solutions procedures and customer requirements
About you
Core Competencies / Skills
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD software
- Knowledge of Electricity Distribution Systems
- IT literate such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent command of written and spoken English is required
Experience
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role
Qualifications
- Successful candidates should have 2D CAD experience within Electrical and Civil disciplines.
