About the opportunity:

We're actively seeking a permanent CAD Technician to join our growing Asset Value department at our London Office.

As a CAD Technician, you'll report to our CAD Manager, playing a pivotal role in Asset Value projects. Your primary responsibility will involve taking charge of producing crucial As-laid drawings, essential for the Asset Value team's claims delivery.

During the initial 6 months, you'll collaborate closely with the Asset Value Team, including Coordinators, administrators, and fellow CAD Technicians. This period will allow you to grasp our processes and contribute to smaller projects, paving the way for your involvement in more extensive projects.

This role presents the opportunity for growth, with the potential to evolve into a Senior CAD Technician over time. Advancing further, you could take on responsibilities such as training our Graduates and overseeing larger projects. Are you ready to energise your career with UK Power Solutions?

Your responsibilities:

  • Production of aslaid drawings from sketches and drawings sent in by site teams and project managers
  • Communicating with project managers to resolve any issues with dimension or route disparity
  • Working with other members of the Asset Value Team to resolve any issues arising from Claim Rejections related to aslaids
  • Working through emails and reports to produce drawings on a timely basis
  • Produce Aslaid drawings in line with the requirements and priorities set by the Asset Value Manager
  • Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with UK Power Solutions Business Management Systems and customer requirements/procedures
  • To support the Asset Value CAD Supervisor and Asset Value Manager in other matters that arise from time to time

About you

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD software
  • Knowledge of Electricity Distribution Systems (desirable)
  • Understanding of Utility Plans (desirable)
