As a Business Development Manager, you’ll identify and develop new business opportunities, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and secure new utility assets. You’ll be instrumental in driving commercial success and shaping our presence in a key region.
We’re looking for the candidate to be based in England, Wales or Scotland who can travel to sites, offices and client premises across the UK.

Your responsibilities as a Business Development Manager:
- Drive Sales and Business Growth - Achieve agreed sales targets by managing existing ICP/UIP and EVCP accounts and developing new business opportunities, ensuring strong repeat business and customer satisfaction.
- Account Management and Client Relationships - Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their strategic goals and supporting them through the asset adoption journey.
- Collaboration and Project Support - Work closely with internal teams, particularly asset adoption, to ensure projects progress smoothly, addressing any issues and ensuring service levels are met.
- Market Awareness and Strategic Input - Stay informed on competitor activity, contribute to marketing initiatives, deliver presentations, and provide insights that influence strategic decisions.
- Reporting and Forecasting - Provide regular updates, including weekly pipeline forecasts and monthly sales reports, analysing trends and identifying opportunities for asset growth.
Experience / Knowledge:
- At least two years successful sales experience in a similar B2B role ideally within utility connections, construction or a similar sector.
- Experienced at successfully managing a portfolio of customers with full account management.
- Focused and positive with a drive to achieve.
- Excellent understanding of business operations and procedures.
- Outstanding research and analytical abilities.
- Project management skills.
